Nicolle Wallace Joins ABC News

GOP strategist Nicolle Wallace is joining ABC News as a political analyst and contributor.

Wallace, former White House communications director for Pres. George W. Bush, was an analyst with CBS News during the 2006 election cycle. Wallace returned to politics in 2008 as an adviser to the John McCain campaign, working closely with VP nominee Sarah Palin in the early days of the ticket.

“Nicolle is a savvy expert who has been tested by fire in many campaigns,” says ABC News president Ben Sherwood in a note to staff.

Earlier this year, when “Game Change” — the HBO adaptation of the best-selling book about the 2008 campaign — came out, Wallace wrote on ABCNews.com that watching the movie, “is like reliving the most tumultuous professional roller coaster ride on which I’ve ever been.”
