Nearly 18 Million Watched Cowboys-Giants On MNF

Week 7 of Monday Night Football was the fourth most-watched cable program in television history and the biggest cable audience of the year, falling just shy of 18 million viewers.

Giants-Cowboys earned a 13.0 household coverage rating (11.2 U.S. rating) with 17,953,000 viewers, surpassing Week 3 of MNF between Green Bay and Chicago (12,482,000 households and 17,454,000 viewers) as cable’s most-viewed show of the year.

Through the first seven weeks of the NFL season (eight games), MNF is averaging a 10.9 household rating and 14,962,000 viewers, slight increases in all measurements compared to 2009.
