A proposed class-action lawsuit from former interns for MSNBC and “Saturday Night Live” could kickstart a new round of lawsuits against the big media conglomerates.

After a judge ruled that former interns for Fox Searchlight could sue for unpaid wages during their internships, lawsuits began to spring up against companies like Gawker and Conde nast.
Late last year, the production company owned by Charlie Rose agreed to pay $250,000 to former interns who sued alleging that they were not paid for their work.
While many media companies now pay their interns at least minimum wage, all of them at one point had unpaid interns roaming their halls. Don’t be surprised if the other big media companies, including 21st Century Fox, Disney, CBS and Turner Broadcasting, are also facing lawsuits from former interns in the months ahead.
