NBC’s ‘Today’ Men Tossing The Razors For ‘No Shave November’

By Jordan Chariton

It will be a November to remember on NBC’s “Today,” as the show’s men are letting their facial hair grow for  “No Shave November.”

Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Willie Geist, and Carson Daly—along with show staffers and men across NBC News— will forego shaving to put a spotlight on men’s health, the hosts announced on this morning’s show. Lauer stressed the seriousness of men’s health, highlighting the importance of early detection for diseases like prostate cancer.

Although she won’t be participating, co-host Savannah Guthrie joined in on the fun, collecting razors and shaving cream from all her on camera and behind the scenes colleagues.

One man who begrudgingly might be left out of fun for a good cause—Willie Geist, who couldn’t be there for the announcement because of his self-described “witch Dr.” visit to try, finally, to grow hair on his face.
