NBC’s New Orleans HQ: WDSU-TV

NBC’s New Orleans bureau chief Frieda Morris is “one of our all-stars,” acting president Steve Capus tells Michele Greppi. A deputy bureau chief will be running Morris’s operation in Atlanta for now.

NBC’s bureau has been established at WSDU-TV, “the scrappy Hearst-Argyle-owned NBC affiliate that operated without electricity until last Tuesday,” TV Week says. Capus’ ties with the station are longstanding: “He executive produced former NBC News Channel series NBC Nightside, whose founding anchor Kim Hindrew is married to WDSU President and General Manager Mason Granger.”
