NBC’s Chris Hansen Busts Homer Simpson

By Molly Stark Dean

Homer Simpson got caught red-handed by NBC News correspondent Chris Hansen on “The Simpsons” last night. Homer’s father, Abe Simpson, left each member of the Simpson clan $50 to spend on whatever they wanted. Homer got the idea to purchase a bunch of items he couldn’t afford and then return them the next day.

But when he tried to follow through on his plot, Hansen busted him on “To Catch a Credit Whore.” The real, original Dateline series, “To Catch A Predator,” while tainted by controversy, has become popular enough to spawn other “To Catch a…” series including “To Catch a Con Man” and “To Catch an I.D. Thief.”

Video from the episode is after the jump.
