NBC Nightly News “continued to significantly increase its advantage over ABC’s World News Tonight in both total viewers and adults 25-54” last week, this press release says. “During the 2004-2005 season, Nightly’s advantage over ABC was just 7% (+623,000) in total viewers, during the fourth quarter 2005 it grew to a 13% lead (+1,139,000), and since ABC’s new anchor team was put into place at the beginning of the year, NBC’s advantage has soared to 18% (+1,586,000) over Vargas/Woodruff.” NBC sent along this chart demonstrating the increase; click to view it full-size:
