NBC Sports Going For Guinness World Record On SNF

By Marcus Vanderberg

NBC Sports will go for a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest Halloween gathering during Sunday Night Football between Pittsburgh and New Orleans.

“Halloween night in New Orleans was too rich to pass up,” said Fred Gaudelli, Sunday Night Football producer. “I think America has never seen anything quite like this, and we intend to take full advantage of it.”

An official Guinness World Records Adjudicator will be on site to validate the game as the world’s largest Halloween gathering, defined as a group of people in costume in one place.

NBC will dedicate a special “costume cam” to capture shots in the stands of fans dressed up in their favorite costumes.

The current record is 508, which was set last year in Bloomington, Ind.

My stone cold lock of the week is there will be a new Guinness World Record after Sunday night.
