MSNBC’s ‘Lockup’ Back On at Florida Prison

By Alex Weprin

Last week we wrote about how Florida Governor Rick Scott vetoed plans to allow a production company to film MSNBC’s “Lockup” in one of the state’s prisons. Well, after a vetting of the original agreement, Scott has agreed to let the filming continue:

“The governor’s office did not get to vet that contract before,” Plessinger said. “We certainly understand the governor’s concerns. They have vetted that contract now and given us the go ahead so we’ll be working to get that done.”

Fear not “Lockup” fanatics, Florida will be a source of stories for many episodes to come.
