MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell Jumps From CAA to WME

By Alex Weprin

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell is jumping ship. The former “West Wing” writer and producer is leaving the Creative Artists Agency for Ari Emanuel‘s firm William Morris Endeavor. Writes the New York Post‘s Page Six about the move:

The MSNBC anchor, who exec-produced “The West Wing,” told us, “Ari presented me with a way of handling all of my various activities that seemed the most coherent . . . from television-writing to screenwriting to MSNBC and books and other possible ventures. The MSNBC show is now at a point . . . that I can more seriously focus on other things I should be doing as well.”

Among those projects is a sitcom at HBO.
