MSNBC Repeats at 10p & 11p Top CNN

It was a good week for the second showings of MSNBC’s two primetime opinion programs. Last week, MSNBC’s repeats of “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” and “The Rachel Maddow Show” at 10pmET and 11pmET, respectively, beat CNN’s “AC360” in Total Viewers and in the A25-54 demo.

Olbermann has been regularly besting his CNN competition, Campbell Brown, at 8pmET and Maddow has been challenging Larry King at 9pmET all year, but this is the first time Maddow’s 11pmET repeat has beaten CNN in the demo. Olbermann’s 10pmET repeat also did it this past May.

The numbers from last night show a continuation of last week’s trend with the “Countdown” and “Maddow” repeats again topping CNN. The 11pmET airing of “AC360” is almost always a repeat of the 10pmET hour, though last Thursday, “AC360” was live at 11 due to the “Amanpour Reports” special that preceded it.
