MSNBC Launches Super Tuesday Site

It’s back to work after Labor Day for NBC anchors on MSNBC. Super Tuesdays continue during what the network calls “the final stretch before voters go to the polls in January.” In addition to the all-day political coverage, the network has launched supertuesday.msnbc.com. This Tuesday’s anchor line-up includes Brian Williams, Tim Russert and Andrea Mitchell.

SECAUCUS, NJ – Aug. 31, 2007 – MSNBC’s “Super Tuesday” returns Tuesday, Sept. 4, launching the network’s coverage of Decision 2008 as the Democrats and Republicans begin the final stretch before voters go to the polls in January.

As part of the “Super Tuesday” coverage, MSNBC has launched supertuesday.msnbc.com, where viewers can upload video questions and send emails to candidates, political analysts and experts. Viewers are invited to create their own political ads for their favorite – or least favorite – candidate and upload them on the site. Selected ads will be shown on-air as part of the network’s “Super Tuesday” coverage.

MSNBC “Super Tuesday” anchors next week will include “NBC Nightly News” anchor and managing editor Brian Williams, NBC Washington Bureau Chief and moderator of “Meet the Press” Tim Russert, NBC News chief foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell, NBC News correspondent Peter Alexander, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, “Hardball” correspondent David Shuster, and MSNBC anchors Mika Brzezinski and Tamron Hall. “Super Tuesday’s” political coverage will continue with MSNBC’s primetime lineup, which includes “Tucker” at 6 p.m. (ET), “Hardball with Chris Matthews” at 5 and 7 p.m. (ET), “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” at 8 p.m. (ET) and “MSNBC Live with Dan Abrams” at 9 p.m. (ET).

MSNBC announced earlier that as part of its Decision 2008 election coverage, that it will delve into key topics every other Tuesday until Election Day, bringing viewers a better understanding and appreciation for the news events that will affect their lives.
