MSNBC Has Lowest Day in the Demo Since 2005

From 4pmET to midnight Wednesday, not one of MSNBC’s programs cracked 100,000 viewers in the key A25-54 demo.  The network averaged 50,000 demo viewers for the day, its lowest total since July 20, 2005. And this was the day after that deadly Amtrak wreck in Philadelphia.

Rachel Maddow almost cracked the 100,000 barrier, averaging 99,000, but Now with Alex Wagner could only finagle 19,000. Andrea Mitchell Reports, MSNBC Live with Thomas Roberts and The Cycle all failed to crack 30,000 viewers in the demo.

On the bright side, MSNBC crushed Al Jazeera America. The struggling AJAM did not have a single show cross 15,000 viewers in the demo Wednesday. Even worse, World Today at 9pmET scored a 0 (that’s “zero,” not a typo) in the demo. Seriously, not even 1,000 people A25-54 tuned in.
