MSNBC At 10: “The View From The Top”

By Brian

“Enjoy the view from the top,” NBC’s Brian Williams said at MSNBC.com’s 10th anniversary celebration in NYC Monday night.

The NBC Nightly News anchor and MSNBC pioneer was referring to the magnificent view, from the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center. But he was also referring to MSNBC.com’s position at the top of the news Web site rankings. On Monday, this Pew study confirmed MSNBC.com’s popularity among online news consumers.

“I remember when I first hit refresh,” Williams told an audience that included Jeffrey Immelt, Jeff Zucker, Steve Capus, Charlie Tillinghast, Jennifer Sizemore, Dan Abrams, and a plethora of other NBC names.

Capus spoke a minute later, and said “the situation we have online and on cable and on broadcast is fantastic.” He added: “Just watch what we have in store for the next one, two, three, four, five decades, because it’s really going to be exciting.”

Then it was time to savor the view.
