MSNBC turns ten years old on Saturday, July 15. The third-place cable news network premiered on that day in 1996 when anchor Jodi Applegate told viewers “it’s time to get connected.”
I love birthdays. Last year, I recognized CNN’s 25th anniversary with a week of blogging from Atlanta. Now it’s MSNBC’s turn. All this weekend, TVNewser will look back at the early days of the cable news network and Web site.
