‘Morning’ Slide For CNN

The promos for CNN’s four-hour American Morning say “real news makes the difference,” but it’s not true in the demo ratings. Since the expansion of AM to 6am on Nov. 28, the program has barely moved the needle in the coveted 25-54 demographic.

Fox & Friends enjoys 50 percent of the demo market share in the morning, while CNN has 19%, HLN has 18%, and MSNBC has 13%. Robin Meade‘s Robin & Company on Headline News is a mere 9,000 viewers from taking The O’Brien‘s down for the count, as the chart below demonstrates. Click on it to view full-size:
