By Chris Ariens

morning-tv-tvnewser_2016The network morning and evening newscasts are not sharing in the same growth that the cable news networks are seeing as the cablers cover the intense and seemingly endless headlines emanating from the Trump White House.

All three network morning shows lost viewers last week, compared to the same week last year. The two biggest shows, ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today show, were both down double digits, while CBS This Morning was down single digits.

GMA continues to lead in the mornings among total viewers, but was down -11 percent in viewers and down -15 percent in the demo; NBC’s Today continues to lead among younger viewers, but was down -17 percent in the demo, while down -14 percent in total viewers; CBS was down -4 percent in viewers and down -7 percent in the demo.
