Morning Show Ratings: Week of Jan. 23

morning-tv-tvnewser_2016ABC, NBC and CBS’s morning shows each experienced year-over-year viewership declines during the week of January 23, 2017.

Good Morning America ranked No. 1 in total viewers yet again. It delivered a strong performance relative to recent weeks, but saw a -6 percent drop in total viewers and a -13 percent drop in A25-54 versus the same week last year.

Today beat GMA and CBS This Morning in the A25-54 demo for the 57th consecutive week, though it was -2 percent in the demo relative to the same week in 2016. Today lost more traction in total viewers, -8 percent year-over-year.

CBS This Morning maintained a No. 3 ranking, and was -5 percent in total viewers and -6 percent in the news demo relative to the same week last year…a week which happened to be the program’s most-watched week in 22 years.

The averages for the week of Jan. 23:

  • Total Viewers: ABC:  4.726M / NBC: 4.477M / CBS: 3.834M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.559M / NBC: 1.768M / CBS: 1.116M
