Morning Show Ratings: Week of December 9

In the first post-Sam Champion week, “Good Morning America” eked out a win in the younger demo by just 5,000 viewers over the “Today” show. That’s the closest the NBC broadcast has gotten to “GMA” in 5 months, since the week of July 8, when “Today” won in the demo.

“GMA” led “Today” by more than half a million total viewers and was up +18% in viewers and up +24% the demo compared to the same week last year.

“Today” showed the most growth in the demo: +26% while “CBS This Morning” showed the most total viewer growth: +22% year-over-year.

The averages for the week of Dec. 9, 2013:

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 6.000M / NBC: 5.460M / CBS: 3.195M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 2.352M / NBC: 2.347M / CBS: 1.095M
