Morning Show Ratings: Week of December 27

By Alex Weprin

The last week in December, which included the New Year’s Eve holiday, continued to be a slow one for the network morning shows, with all three programs down from the previous week.

As usual, NBC’s “Today” led the pack, but ABC’s “Good Morning America” was the only program to post year-to-year gains in total viewers, compared to the same week in 2009.

It was also the last official week for the “Early Show” anchor team before the new crew started the first week in January. The result? The program’s lowest numbers since September.

The averages for the week of December 27:

Total Viewers: NBC: 4.90M / ABC: 4.38M / CBS: 2.56M
A25-54 rating: NBC: 2.14M / ABC: 1.56M / CBS: 1.07M
