Morning Show Ratings: Week of August 19

“Good Morning America” begins its second year as the No. 1 morning show, with another win — its longest winning streak since the 1991-92 season. But it’s No. 3 “CBS This Morning” showing the most growth.

Compared to the same week last year CBS is up +17% in Total Viewers, while GMA is up +5% and “Today” is up +2%. In the younger demo, ABC showed the most growth up +7%, CBS was up +1% and NBC was down -1%.

Among Total Viewers, “GMA” increased its lead over “Today” by +40% compared to the same week last year. But over the past two weeks, “Today” has narrowed GMA’s Total Viewer gap by 25% (239,000) and its A25-54 demo gap by 41% (93,000).

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 5.141M / NBC: 4.415M / CBS: 2.638M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.897M / NBC: 1.765M / CBS: 909K
