MLB Announces 2011 Postseason Schedule

For the first time since the 1915 World Series, the Major League Baseball postseason will be begin on a Friday (Sept. 30). Both American League Division Series start that day, with the National League set to kick off on Saturday.

All division series games are airing on TBS and its sister stations (like TNT) if necessary.

The American League Championship Series (on Fox) will begin Oct. 8., and the National League Championship Series (on TBS) begins the following day.

Game One of the World Series (also on Fox) is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 19, with Game 7 (if necessary) set for Oct. 27, which is earlier than in past years.
