Mitchell, Megyn Get Netanyahu… Couric Gets Romney

By Chris Ariens

NBC’s Chief Foreign Affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell gets the first American broadcast network interview with newly re-elected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today. The full interview will air on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” at NoonET with excerpts on “Nightly News.” Mitchell has been in Israel since Tuesday morning covering the national elections. Megyn Kelly will also interview Netanyahu for her Fox News show airing tonight.

Yahoo Global News anchor Katie Couric got the first interview with Mitt Romney since his decision not to run for the 2016 GOP nomination. In addition to the 2016 race, Couric asks Romney about his charity boxing fight with Evander Holyfield.

“This will not be a true bout,” Romney says. “We’ll have a little fun in the ring… the idea is, we’re bringing people together to raise money to provide surgeries for very poor children and adults throughout the world… I think there’ll be a lotta democrats there paying good money.”
