Mike Vick Inks Endorsement Deal With Unequal Technologies

Two months ago, Michael Vick was featured in a local car commercial for Woodbury Nissan in Woodbury, N.J. It was the first step in Vick’s comeback as a marketable athlete.

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is taking another step in the right direction after signing a two-year contract with Unequal Technologies, the provider of football pads that Vick wore most of last season. Following his rib injury, Vick wore a special vest along with shoulder and thigh pads.

Terms weren’t disclosed but it’s a “sizable” contract according to chief executive officer Rob Vito. The deal will be announced on Thursday according to USA Today.

“We’re real excited about it,” Vito said Tuesday. “Michael is good people. He paid his dues. President Obama reached out to him. He deserves an opportunity. This is what makes America so great. He’s moved forward. He’s a whole other person.”

I’m sure that phone call from President Obama is what put Vick over the top with Unequal Technologies.

“The Unequal technology is a part of my game now and I won’t play without my Unequal,” Vick said in a statement acquired by the Associated Press. “Unequal’s protective power gives me a whole new level of confidence in my game. It makes me feel invincible.”
