Mike Huckabee to Host New Talk Program on Trinity Broadcasting Network

By A.J. Katz

Former Arkansas Governor, presidential candidate, and longtime television news commentator Mike Huckabee is launching his own talk show for the second time. Huckabee will host an eponymous new weekly news and talk show on the faith-and-family Trinity Broadcasting Network which will premiere this fall. Huckabee will be taped in front of a live studio audience in Nashville, and will combine his current affairs commentary, along with guests from the worlds of entertainment, politics and faith.

“Nashville is right in the middle of America. It’s one of the fastest growing cities in the nation and a totally fun place to be,” says Huckabee. “And there’s just a wee bit of amazing talent there.  Expect some politics and current events, but if you originate in Nashville and don’t feature music, you would be run out of Nashville! We will inform, inspire, and entertain.”

The format will be similar to that of his Saturday prime time program which aired on Fox News from Sept. 2008 – Jan. 2015, and was generally FNC’s most-watched weekend program during its run.

Gov. Huckabee is widely known as one of the most outspoken Christian politicians on cable news, so a program on TBN seems to make sense.

“TBN is the perfect home for this new television offering,” says Huckabee. “I am grateful to Matt Crouch for sharing the vision of a weekend destination on TV where we talk to newsmakers and celebrities in a civil and respectful manner as well as introduce America to some not-so-famous people whose stories remind us that the greatness of our nation is about the people who love God, raise their families, and serve their neighbors.”
