During a “Piers Morgan Tonight” interview with Meredith Vieira last night, Morgan asked the former “Today” host where she was when she heard the news of Matt Lauer’s new NBC contract, which is worth a reported $25 million.
“I was heading towards the bathroom, and I proceeded to vomit, after I heard those numbers,” Vieira joked. “All kidding aside, I joke all the time that I propped him up for five years, but Matt’s really, really a talented broadcaster. He’s a lot of the reason why the ‘Today’ show does as well as it does.” Watch:
