Megyn Kelly Takes on Harsh Reviews of Fox TV Special

On The Kelly File Wednesday night, Megyn Kelly said her Fox Broadcasting special earned “lots of viewers” (she noted it was the “second most watched show on a Tuesday on Fox in 2016”)…and “lots of reviews,” saying the special “earned the scourge of many in the mainstream media” because it was not “a takedown” of Donald Trump.

“It does bother me when critics who despise Trump, often from the left, just are not upfront about that,” said Fox News media critic Howie Kurtz.

“The question I have is,” said Kelly. “Would these media figures have the same reaction if I… Would they want a humorless, a tough as nails… a dismembering interview with Hillary Clinton? Or is it just when it’s a Republican named Donald Trump?”

Later Wednesday, Trevor Noah dissected the interview on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, saying it seemed to be “about two brands, Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly, and whether they could forge a mutually beneficial partnership–just like Chipotle teams up with bacteria to help you lose weight.”

And via Twitter, Kelly responded directly to Noah:
