Megyn Kelly on Facebook and That Bogus Story About Her: ‘Should I Sue Them?’

By Mark Joyella

Fox News host Megyn Kelly on Tuesday night discussed the bogus story about her that somehow found its way into Facebook’s “Trending Topics” feature, asking “So, should I sue them?”

The story, from an obscure website riddled with typos, suggested that Kelly had been fired after being exposed as a “traitor” for backing Hillary Clinton. In a discussion on the legal implications, attorney Mark Eiglarsh said Kelly’s status as a public figure means “unfortunately, we’re not going to be able to win,” as it would be tough to prove “actual malice.”

Kelly said she had no interest in suing Facebook—”or anyone else”—but joked during a second legal discussion on a woman caught on surveillance video hitting herself in the face that “this is what I wanted to do to myself” when she saw the phony story trending on Facebook. “I was that angry.”
