Megyn Kelly on Donald Trump’s Attacks: ‘I Just Wanted It to Stop’

Fox News host Megyn Kelly says the most difficult part of enduring personal attacks from Donald Trump was that they’d never seem to end.

“I just wanted to stop,” she says in an interview with People magazine. “You’d get past an incident and then it would start again. It was really shocking.”

Kelly tells the magazine “the hate can be very ugly and it can be threatening and it can be off-putting when you’re walking around the city with your kids in particular.”

Kelly confronts Trump with his personal attacks in an interview set to air on Fox Broadcasting May 17. “I think the most electric moment will be when I ask him about this past year and what’s happened between the two of us,” Kelly said. “It’s one thing to have somebody else ask him about what he’s done and it’s quite another to have me ask him … I think people want to see that.”
