Megyn Kelly Interviews Laura Bush About Pakistani Teen Shot by the Taliban

By Merrill Knox

Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly has snagged an exclusive interview with Laura Bush. The former First Lady, who is a strong advocate for literacy and education issues, talked with Kelly about Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani teen who was shot in the head by the Taliban for demanding education for girls.

“The lesson is to everyone, really, worldwide, that we need to have the courage to speak up,” Bush said. “And she was speaking up in a place where you really did have to have courage.”

Bush also talked about the pressures on Michelle Obama and Ann Romney during the interview, which was taped Tuesday in Dallas. Kelly flew there straight there from Boca Raton, where she anchored coverage of Monday night’s Presidential debate, and is back in New York today to anchor her show. The full interview airs on “America Live” at 1pmET this afternoon.
