Screen Shot 2015-06-11 at 1.48.23 PMSaying that “some in the left-wing press continue to use this incident to dishonestly push their own agenda,” Fox News host Megyn Kelly fired back at critics for saying Kelly had disparaged the 15-year-old girl forced to the ground by a police officer in McKinney, Texas by saying she “was no saint either.”

Saying it is “almost pointless to respond to these kinds of smears,” Kelly called out one writer in particular, Salon’s Scott Eric Kaufman, who wrote that Kelly “spent almost half (her) program trying to justify the decisions made by the police during the incident at a McKinney, Texas pool party on Friday.”

Describing Salon as “a far-left website that often descends into ugly partisan hackery,” Kelly said in reality she “took no position on the matter,” leaving it to her guests–two-thirds of whom were critical of the police.
