NBC’s Meet the Press finished 2007 as the number one Sunday morning public affairs show. It marked the tenth year the Tim Russert-hosted program was the top-rated show.
The show won both total viewers as well as the A24-54 demo. Meet the Press averaged 3.544 million viewers during 2007, followed by CBS’ Face the Nation with 2.622, ABC’s The Week with 2.597 and FOX’s News Sunday with 1.263.
For the A25-54 demo, Meet the Press finished with a 1.0 rating, compared to .8 for CBS, .7 for ABC and .4 for FOX.

Meet the Press also slightly expanded its lead from last year over the second place show, CBS’ Face the Nation.
The show featured 12 presidential candidate interviews during 2007 as part of their Meet the Candidates series.
