Media Crush at Boston Federal Courthouse Following False Arrest Reports

A large contingent of media descended on the federal courthouse in Boston this afternoon after false reports by a number of news outlets, including CNN and Fox News, indicated a suspect had been arrested in the Boston Marathon bombings.

BuzzFeed reporter Jessica Testa tweeted a telling picture of the “1,000 reporters” outside the Boston Federal Courthouse which had just been evacuated. Earlier — erroneously — the AP Tweeted that the suspect would be “expected in federal court.”
