Martin Bashir Debuts His MSNBC Show

At 3 PM ET yesterday, Martin Bashir debuted his eponymous MSNBC program.

The show is formatted much like the other daytime news programs, but with a little more room for Bashir to add his own spin to things, and to cover topics that are in his wheelhouse, like the Royal Wedding.

A good example: Bashir closed the show with a segment called “Clear the Air,” which was more or less an editorial segment, albeit phrased in language much softer than one would see from a Keith Olbermann or Lawrence O’Donnell.
