Maria Bartiromo celebrated Tax Day yesterday with a trip to Washington, D.C. to accept the 2014 Urbino Press Award, an Italian prize given annually to an American journalist. The Italian ambassador to the U.S., Claudio Bisogniero, presented Bartiromo with the award at the Italian Embassy.
Bartiromo joined Fox News and Fox Business this year after more than 20 years at CNBC.
“The unmistakable style and exceptional professionalism that she has brought onto the screens of millions of viewers around the world are synonymous with high-quality American and international financial and economic journalism,” Bisogniero said in a statement.

Previous winners of the award include ABC’s Martha Raddatz and CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
