Manu Raju Jumps From Politico to CNN

By Chris Ariens

Manu Raju is joining CNN as a senior political reporter.

Raju leaves Politico where he has been senior congressional reporter. Raju has been covering D.C. politics since 2002 for The Hill as well as Congressional Quarterly. But he got his start in TV working for the NBC affiliate in Madison, Wis. In a note to staff, obtained by TVNewser, CNN’s Virginia Moseley writes that Raju “will use his expertise and tremendous reporting skills to straddle the worlds of Congress and politics. He’ll focus on the senators who are running for president and also will work with our fabulous congressional team to bring us high-impact, behind-the-scenes reporting on Congress as we embark on an eventful and consequential fall.”

Raju starts September 8.
