After almost six years in the U.S., CNBC’s Mandy Drury is returning to her native Australia to be closer to family. She will continue as a CNBC contributor from Sydney.
Drury had stints with CNBC in Sydney and Singapore before moving to Englewood Cliffs in 2010. Currently, Drury is co-host of Power Lunch.
“It was my dream to come to New York,” Drury told us in a 2011 interview. “As a business journalist, there’s probably only a few cities in the world where you can get as much of a stimulating challenge as I have now.”

A few months ago, Mandy Drury approached me to discuss her need to move to her native Australia in early 2016 for family reasons.
Mandy has been a valued member of the CNBC family for 15 years – first in Asia and for the past five-and-a-half years here in the U.S. Her international markets savvy and poise have helped the shows she has anchored shine, and her work ethic and can-do attitude have made her a cherished colleague.
While Mandy is leaving the U.S., I’m pleased to say she will stay involved with CNBC as an on-air contributor for our global properties.
