CNN.com reports authorities have arrested Paul Michael Merhige, a Florida man accused of killing four of his family members on Thanksgiving, including his 6-year-old cousin Makayla Sitton, whose father, Jim (both pictured) is a photojournalist at West Palm Beach NBC affiliate WPTV and at whose house the Thanksgiving celebration was being held.
Merhige’s twin sisters Carla Merhige and Lisa Knight, 33, and his 76-year-old aunt Raymonde Joseph were also killed.
> Update, from a viewer: Sitton was live on WPTV tonight after news of the arrest — first on the phone, then live with a reporter at the police department before the police news conference. Sitton said he’s “glad the monster is in a cage.”
