Making Room for MySpace At MSNBC

By Chris Ariens

Remember that announcement that MySpace would be partnering with MSNBC during this political season? Yeah, we didn’t either. But Page Six reminds us with an item today. It’s about a contest “to choose two ‘citizen journalist’ correspondents to cover the upcoming national political conventions.”

Page Six uses the opportunity to go after Keith Olbermann for refusing to participate, “because MySpace is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. — which also owns Fox News and The Post.”

An MSNBC spokesperson tells TVNewser, “there were never any plans to have the contest winners on any show other than Morning Joe.”
