After nine years at CNN, Lisa Sylvester is leaving the network to join the NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh.
Sylvester will join WPXI as co-anchor of the evening newscasts in October. At CNN, she was a correspondent and cut-in anchor for “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.” Before that, she was a general correspondent based in Washington, D.C. for ABC News.
“I am thrilled to be joining WPXI,” Sylvester said in a statement. “This is a wonderful opportunity to join a team that is dedicated to providing the best news coverage. I look forward to raising my family in Pittsburgh and being part of the community.”
