The U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter is speaking exclusively with NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt today in Iraq in regard to the U.S. military’s fight against ISIS. The interview will air during tonight’s edition of NBC Nightly News. Holt will anchor the broadcast live from the Middle East.
Earlier today, the secretary announced from Baghdad that the U.S. will send 217 additional troops to Iraq to serve as advisers and trainers in the region.
It’s also important to note that Holt will do a special report today at 4 p.m. EST to discuss the new troop numbers and characterize his interview with the secretary.
