In an interesting case of cross-network synergy, Syfy has recruited NBC News anchor Lester Holt to host a documentary special, “Inside Secret Government Warehouses: Shocking Revelations.”
The special, produced by Syfy and NBC’s Peacock Productions, will premiere on the NBCU-owned cable channel Sunday, July 11 at 9 p.m. The doc is tied to the launch of season two of “Warehouse 13,” the Syfy drama set at, you guessed it, a secret government warehouse.
Holt will be doing his best Robert Langdon impression, traveling from Area 51 in Nevada to the Vatican secret archives.
The pseudo-scientific subject matter of the series may be controversial for the serious NBC newsman. The special will present a mandible (part of the jaw) that one expert says is not from any creature on earth, and will also speak to former military officers who claim to have encountered UFOs or witnessed other odd occurrences.
Of course it will also feature experts and officials disputing the claims of the UFO enthusiasts.
