Laura Ingraham Secured an Exclusive Interview With Scooter Libby

Laura Ingraham is getting some good news after a couple weeks of not so good news.

No. 1 – One of her major advertisers, Ace Hardware, returned to the program this week. We hear more advertisers are returning to the show next week.

No. 2 – Ingraham just secured an exclusive interview with former Dick Cheney chief of staff Scooter Libby, pardoned by President Trump earlier today. Libby was convicted of perjury in 2007.

He will chat with Ingraham tonight during her usual 10 p.m. hour.

The appearance will likely give an additional boost to Ingraham’s ratings. Compared to her Q1 2018 average, The Angle is presently +9 percent in total viewers (2.71 million), and +12 percent in the key A25-54 demo (563,000) this week to-date.

Despite the ratings growth, it appears Ingraham will still finish runner up to 10 p.m. competitor The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell among adults 25-54. She finished in second three of the first four days of this week.

MSNBC’s prime time ratings continue to benefit from scandals swirling around the president.

*Update: Ingraham ended up winning the week, both in total viewers and among adults 25-54, because of massive Friday numbers for FNC’s breaking news coverage of coalition military strikes on Syria.
