Lauer, Romney Forget Seatbelts

In the second installment of Today On the Trail this morning, there was something missing during Matt Lauer‘s back-of-the-SUV interview with Mitt Romney: They weren’t wearing seatbelts.

(Ironically, Lauer interviewed Gov. Corzine exclusively a few weeks ago.)

“After the piece aired this morning, Lauer told his audience that even though New Hampshire doesn’t have a mandatory seat belt law, he set the wrong example by not wearing one,” the AP notes. “The Romney campaign issued a statement with a similar apology…”
