Lauer: “No Quid Pro Quo” with Princes

Now that Paris is behind them, NBC is looking ahead to London and the “Concert for Diana” telecast. Despite the fact that the network paid $2.5 million for the rights to broadcast the tribute, Matt Lauer says “there was no quid pro quo” in getting the interview with Princes William and Harry.

“When the concert deal was signed they hadn’t even decided they were even going to do an interview,” said Lauer today in promoting Sunday’s telecast.
