Several promotions and additions to report from the CBS News Washington Bureau. Kris Van Cleave, who joined the network as a Newspath correspondent less than a year ago, has been named transportation correspondent for CBS News. Jeff Pegues, who had been transportation correspondent, moved over to Homeland Security when longtime correspondent Bob Orr retired.
Before joining CBS, Van Cleave had been a reporter for nearly eight years at D.C. ABC affiliate WJLA. Before that, Van Cleave was as a reporter at CW affiliate XETV in San Diego, Calif.
