‘Killed Them All, Of Course’: HBO Documentary Ends With Seeming Confession

By Mark Joyella

Fox News Channel was first with the news Sunday morning of the arrest of Robert Durst, whose wife disappeared in New York in 1982. Jeanine Pirro, the Fox News host, investigated the Durst case as Westchester County district attorney, and reported the arrest at 10:32 a.m.

Fox News produced a Pirro-led hour on the arrest and the Durst case at 10 p.m.

The arrest came hours before the airing of the final installment of HBO’s documentary about Durst, “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst,” which included previously unheard audio that may be, as The New York Times reports, a confession. “What the hell did I do?” Mr. Durst says in audio recorded on a microphone he wore for the documentary. “Killed them all, of course:”

“The rumors that have been flying for years will now get tested in court,” Mr. DeGuerin said.

As he watched the documentary Sunday night with the filmmakers, James McCormack, the brother of Kathleen Durst, said, “Closure is near at hand; I feel in my heart.”
