I’m excited to announce that Kerry O’Connor-Aouad will join the HLN family as Executive Producer of Morning Express with Robin Meade and Weekend Express with Lynn Smith on Monday, September 28, and will report to Stephanie Todd on a day-to-day basis. Her timing couldn’t be better as MXP and WXP continue to excel in the ratings. MXP is the #2 cable morning news show in the key P25-54 demo 2015 to-date! In the just released August numbers, MXP had its highest P25-54 delivery since July 2013, and continues to beat MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” for the 16th consecutive month by +31% in the demo. WXP is #1 on Sundays among P25-54 @ 7 am in August, and claimed that same victory in the first two quarters of the year.

Many of you may already know Kerry who comes to us from CNN where she was senior producer at New Day for more than two years. And before that she was a producer at On the Record with Greta van Susteren over at FNC.

This is her second go-round at HLN. She was an associate producer on Nancy Grace back in 2006. She joined CNN in 2002 and worked in TEAM Video Services out of NY and at CNNfn.

Please welcome Kerry to the team. She’s in the process of relocating from New York to Atlanta so please let’s lift a glass for her at Dantanna’s (details to come)!

In other HLN news, Smith recently announced on her Facebook page that she and her husband are expecting a baby in February.
