“Keith Olbermann” on SNL

By Chris Ariens

Tonight MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann gets his big shot on Saturday Night Live, unfortunately, he’s being played by host Ben Affleck, in a skit one insider calls “savage.”

Politico’s Michael Calderone also reports the real Olbermann “got past security to watch” the closed-set rehearsal yesterday. Olbermann was complimentary of his first time being mocked on “SNL.” “I’m not Sarah Palin. I know how valuable it is to me. And it’s funny.”

We’ll let you know if the skit makes the cut after tonight’s dress rehearsal, and into the live show at 11:30ET (with cameo from John McCain).

Also, we hear McCain is involved in both the cold open sketch and a segment of Weekend Update.
