Joy Behar Ends HLN Show With ‘Newhart’ Reference, and Joe Scarborough in Bed

Last week HLN host Joy Behar ended her primetime interview program. True to form, she decided to close out the show with a gag.

After Behar said goodbye on her set, the screen went black and opened with her waking up in bed, a reference to the finale of the classic TV series “Newhart.” After a jab at HLN covering the same stories night after night, Behar turned to her bedmate: MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, who explained, “That wasn’t a dream, it’s cable news. Now go back to bed, I have to get up in a couple of hours.”

Annoyingly, HLN never posted the ending, but Scarborough showed it on “Morning Joe”:
